Modelling 101 was founded by Director Justin Khoo, who had a vision to train, develop and mentor young upcoming talent. Justin is also the founder and director of KHOO Co., which encompasses JustKhoo Agency, Freelance House Australia and of course, Modelling 101!

With a team consisting of professional models, dancers, professional photographers and stylists, Modelling 101 looks to break barriers in height, size and ethnicity.

Our aim is to help models realise their full potential through access to educators who have been in the industry and still currently working. Our classes give students exposure to industry culture and allow them to achieve their goals. We want to empower models with confidence, whilst driving a new era of modelling and pushing for growth and accelerating development, all within a safe nurturing environment. We enable models to break out of their comfort zone and equip them in today's industry.

On completion of Modelling 101, our team will assist our students to prepare their material for interviewing to find the right agency that best fits them, and what they wish to accomplish within the industry!

The classes that are on offer in 2024:

Runway: This class is an intensive 1 hour session focused on individuals who want to know the basic of walking a runway, the right technique, the right posture alignment and having a true understanding of walking a runway with confidence, and in time with music. This is a class run by an industry professional model who has over 25+ years experience and still working currently in the industry represented by a reputable Agency. Ever wanted to be on a runway? This is your chance to learn, and who knows?…maybe one day you will be! (No height or size requirements in this class 15+ males and females)

Commercial: This is one of our most popular classes, as everyone has always dreamt of being on TV! This class is run with our Director who has worked professionally within the Commercial industry with credits with a wealth of knowledge to share with over 15+ years of experience. This class is a 1 hour fun, interactive and hands on class that will get you out of your comfort zone, and make you do things, that will make you leaving more confident than how you walked in! This class will take you through the casting processes, how agencies find the right fit of models to submit for a job, key things to know about the TV commercial industry, as well as castings within Australia. Of course, last but not least, you will have access to real live acting scenarios, that are tailored either individually or in a group setting, that will make you laugh, feel nervous, think outside the box, and will make you walk away proud of yourself!

Makeup: This is a hands on, interactive makeup class which will take you to the basics. You are going to learn about skin preparation before applying makeup, how to go from a clean makeup look to a soft glam for screen and television, presentation (hair and nails) and how to put together an on set touch up makeup and hair kit. Bring your mirror and your kit and lets get to work! (Feemale/non-binary identifying talent)

**All classes do not have any height or size requirements. All males and females 15 years and older. All group size classes are maximum 8-10 per a class.
